Data Collection
Qbrief does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All data entered into the app remains on your device.
Data Usage
The app processes flight briefing information, calculations, and weather data locally on your device. No information is sent to external servers except when fetching real-time weather data from public aviation weather services.
Weather Data
Weather information (METAR, TAF, D-ATIS) is retrieved from public aviation weather services including NOAA Aviation Weather Center. When you request weather data, only the airport station code is sent to these services.
No User Accounts
Qbrief does not require user accounts or registration. No personal information such as name, email, or contact details is collected.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- NOAA Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov) - for METAR and TAF data
- D-ATIS services (datis.clowd.io) - for Digital ATIS data
Data Security
All calculations and flight briefing data remain stored locally on your device. The app does not have access to cloud storage or external databases.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app updates.
